They blur the MAC address in the Access Connections screenshot, but you can read it clearly off the picture of the WLAN card..

Nonetheless, the X200 looks quite nice. I am not a fan of the widescreen format, but it does make for prettier computers.

Where do we get these ThinkVantage software tools? Are they coming the new Thinkpads?

Access Connections 4.52 is the newest on Lenovo's web site and it still looks like the old version.

Is there a secret download page for the new Tools?

more from 51nb.com: the website seems (I can't read chinese, therefore the seems) to indicate a keyboard larger than on the two previous TP from the X serie.

A 12" WS is pretty much the closest you can get to the size of the T-series keyboard itself, so it's a good fit.

A wide screen ultra portable BUT not thin as x300, so what else can it be?

In the picture the x200 sure looks like a fat (thick, I mean). Only 3 lbs but make it 1.23in thick? turns me off. Like a lot of things- I like them fine and thin.

Yeah, it looks thicker than my X40. I am getting to like the X200 less and less the more I learn about it :(

You mean the SSD it has is not worth the price. I looked on parts list and to my amazement the SSD costs $1,500 YIKES! That's half the price of the whole laptop! http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/cont ... 3CBEEC65B3

if X300 is of the panasonic toughbook quality, then yes it is worth the price. if it is the same quality as dell or hp then no it is not worth the price. the SSD is way overpriced right now because its brand new technology on the market.

Hm. I think that expecting Thinkpads to be as rugged as Toughbooks, which are designed to be such, would be like expecting a - and forgive the car analogy here, I am not fond nor experienced when it comes to cars, but I felt it was an appropriate example in this case - Mercedes to be as tough as a Humvee, just because they're both cars.

Just like ThinkPads, Mercedes cars are not built as tough as they once were. They now sell many more cars though, and are more of a mass-market manufacturer, with a much wider range of models. Same with BMW - they sell more 3-series in the UK than Ford sells Mondeos.

I think Lenovo seem to be going that way too. This X200 is how much? £600? My X31 cost £1,300 when new, and that's without adjusting for inflation. With laptops becoming so popular now, there is a lot more competition in this market.
