Hi, I have problem which is occuring on my T21/W2K SP4 accidentally from time to time - Windows is just unplugging/ejecting my DVDRW Nec 6650 which is detected as removable drive. It's pretty annoying because when I want to "plug-in" it back, I must restart computer when it's recognized by default. Is there some way how to hard lock optical drive so it would not be possible for Windows to remove it as removable device?
Or what can be cause of this problem that Windows is accidentaly removing drive if I've never asked for it. Fortunately when I'm burning DVD in Nero and Windows is trying unplug DVDRW drive but it's locked in Nero so it's possible just after finished burning, so how is possible to have locked driver at all time in W2K and not as removable drive?
Thanks for any ideas.
EDIT: I tried to turn off Windows service Removable storage media, hopefully it won't eject drive accidentally again, but it's not good solution, because I think I'll have problems with plugging flashdisks. Is there way to remove optical drive from list of removable storage/media so optical drive won't be removable hardware?

It talks about an A20p that goes into standby at random times but I believe it would apply to any T2x system as well. Actually, the T23 that I'm using at the moment has the same problem with the Ultrabay microswitch; if the system's back right corner to torqued with enough force, Windows reports that the optical drive has been removed (it hasn't). If this happens to you again, check the right-most green LED on the right hinge (that's the one with an arrow pointing to the right and an "X" at the end). If the LED goes out at the same time Windows says your drive is disconnected, then I'd bet money that the problem is with the switch on the I/O board being dirty or slightly out of alignment.
