intel amt serial over lan

How do I go about getting this to work. So far I've enabled Intel AMT in the bios, then I updated the firmware, then installed the driver, and the management interface. Then I rebooted and went into to the ME bios extension and enabled amt configuration, then in amt changed the mode to small business. But the management interface still pops up and says its disabled?? Maybe im just not understanding the technology
