International Warranty Service (IWS) Impressions?

I have ordered my new Thinkpad 2373-HVU and have also upgraded to ThinkPad Protection / Onsite Service for 3 years...

I've also checked and found that this system is covered on the International Warranty Service program - Since I will likely travel to Europe quite a bit, I find this to be an extremely valuable feature.

I'm curious if anybody has had any good or bad expieriences with service abroad... (heh, I wonder if I had my keyboard replaced in the UK if it would have a £ sign on it

)

Fantastic. At least in Spain, I had the same, if not better experience than in the US.

Few days ago I called to IBM service in Madrid and they answered in 3 seconds. They send me a DVD-RW drive replacement and not hassle at all.
Delivery however took 4 days rather than the two days standard in the US, but because I am living in the middle of nowhere...

IBM international warranty is great. I used it

the service is good. I had my touchpad replaced. But you may have to wait for 2 to 3 days to get your machine back.
