Where are the Power Profiles stored ??

#1 Post by Jason404 » Thu Jun 19, 2008 10:51 am

Where are the Power Manager custom profiles stored? Maybe in the same place as the custom Windows ones made with Control Panel/Power Options?

I have custom profiles that I can see and use in my normal user account (actually a Power User account), in XP, but I cannot see it in my Administrator account, which I use when I am doing maintenance.

(I install stuff with right click > Run As or use the RUNAS command to open a CMD prompt where I can also start installation .exe files or Control Panel applets. It means that I have totally malware free Windows, and high security. If everybody always did this, like they ought to, we never would have got lumped with the UAC abomination in Vista!)

I finally found out what was going on with the power profiles being different in all user accounts, thanks to this webpage. I'll just give the link here in case anybody else uses different accounts (as they should do!).
