If you pursue this any further, you will be discussing ThinkPads elsewhere.

Dude, where have you been???? I thought this was a dead horse already.
The name changed, but it's still the same factory, the same people, the same designers, the same everything, as when IBM's name was on it. Get over it.

Anyways, I recently got a hold of a T61 and had it side-by-side with a MacBook Pro and my old T40p. The thing is darned (is that an expletive?) BIG . If the screen was bad, it wasn't obvious next to the MacBook Pro. It's certainly boxier and slightly bigger. I think Lenovo needs to do something about that.

Aside from the size and weight, it felt just like my old T40p, so no real complaints. I do like the old, rounded "Thinkvantage" and volume buttons though. I was thinking of picking one up for myself since they're quite expensive now that it is the end-of-line, but I'm a bit turned off by the bulk of the thing.

BTW, I didn't know that "d"-word was considered an expletive. What is this? A kindergarten forum???

The rules of the forum aren't up for debate.

I think we're done here.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

Chief, you cant compare a Apple product with a Lenovo product. In my opinion the target audience is totally different. The "box" look makes it even more serious and it was one of the reasons I chose a Lenovo instead of an even cheaper Apple product...

And if you want a small one get the X300 or the X series in general. The T Series is a Desktop replacement _with_ more than one USB etc. (I am referring to good looking Apple ones with limited connectors) What do you expect?
T61p and X200
