Fax component install failure on a pre-installed T61p
Fax component install failure on a pre-installed T61p
I have tried several times to install the fax component on my new T61p, the system responds with the message “Setup cannot copy the file fxsapi.dl_”. This file does exist in the “C:\i386” folder and appears to be accessible. I have administrator privileges and have done this type of installation on other systems several times, but never a Lenovo Thinkpad. Without an XP Pro CD I’m stuck, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I’m regretting this purchase; I’ve had nothing but problems with it.
Missing fax component
Thanks, for the web reference, I attempted to use the Win32 Cabinet Self Extractor but it stops with a popup error, "A required resource cannot be located". I'm back to square one, I'll keep looking for a solution to this problem.
