Hey there,
whenever I switch to battery the display brightness is lower although I set the brightness in the power profile to be the same in both cases?!

You'll want to change this in the BIOS settings. You don't mention your machine type, but the sequence should be something like:
Config -> Display -> Brightness -> High.
That will keep the brightness the same between battery and AC power.
