Need to recover BIOS password

Hi,

I use my fingerprint to logon to my computer so I dont need to enter my Bios password but after a year I need to reset my thinkpad because Im going to change it , the problem is that I forgot the passwords of Bios and HDD .

I can authenticate with my finger so I wonder if there is a way to recover my passwords ?

Sounds like an interesting dilemma. I don't have the fingerprint sensor, but if in fact you cannot reset your BIOS and Hdd passwords this way, it appears the fingerprint reader provides Parallel rather than total access to your computer - and is worth noting.

The BIOS password can let you erase the fingerprints, but not the other way around.
