Lid sensor broken

#1 Post by TimWang » Sat Jun 21, 2008 8:47 pm

Does anyone know where I can find the part number for the lid sensor? My computer doesn't go in the standby when I close my lid and I think the senor button is broken. It's the small button on the upper left hand side close to the left hinge.

I tried looking for the hardware maintenance manual but couldn't find the part. Btw, I have a 14.1 T43

I'm not certain that you can buy it seperately. I think you have to just buy a screen bezel with it on there. I had a case where I was fixing someone's R51 that had a broken one and I cut one off of a parts machine and glued it on.

Check your power management settings to be sure something hasn't changed the lid-close action.
