Correction about the RAM , these are 2 sticks. 1GB RAM ( made by simpletech it is PC 3200 CL3 ram ) + 512MB ( IBM FRU 31P9833, micron). Both tested fine in PC doctor on a T42p.

No, the T4x LCDs are not interchangeable with the T6x series.

Thanks for chipping in, tfflivemb2. Looks like no one has the t6x XGA LCD for sale here.

I was able to test a T60 2007-8ZU motherboard with a T42P sxga+ in December 2006, but this was not put in the system, the LCD was just sitting outside at that time. Had to use the T60 cable with the bare LCD. The LCD used was a samsung.

The bare lcd might be a standard module, I didnot pay close attention to screw placement etc.. at that time. But typically if it is from the same system, it makes life easier to replace.
