Cpu woes.

#1 Post by Basttrax » Thu Jun 26, 2008 9:17 pm

Hey all,

Just wanted to say I've been reading (or lurking) the site for some time now. Learned alot about my T30 on here and my upcoming X61s.

Just a quick question. I've noticed that I cant get my T30 to it's full 2.0ghz at all. I've messed around with all the "Power Managment" schemes, set it to "High Performance" etc, but only ever get it to 1.2ghz.

I also tried going into the Power Managment settings and turned off Automatic CPU stepping.

Any ideas on how to get this old baby blazing at 2.0?

Thanks everyone

Basttrax

There are also Power settings in the BIOS to bring it up to speed.

The settings in the BIOS did the trick.
