Why don't you call lenovo at 1-866-96-THINK and ask?

I haven't checked when it was offered, but I imagine it would be cheaper than Vista/XP/SUSE models. If you have no intention of running any of these, why would you want to pay for them?

A version was being offered on lenovo.com a few months ago.

IBM used to sell a few ThinkPads with no hard drive at all. You might ask your salesguy if that's an option.

I'll guess that was the Y2K compliant version, or something newer that that?

If you really need PC DOS, then you can still buy it:

http://www.amazon.com/IBM-04L5567-PC-DO ... B00002SAGH

It's the latest Y2K compliant version from IBM.

But why not go with free alternatives like FreeDOS or something like that?
