Buy now everyone knows what the problem is with the T30 memory slot. Fixing the problem yourself with a soldering iron might create problems for some people. I have 2 T30 machines both with the same issue. In 1 machine I simply upgraded the memory to 1G and left the other slot empty. The other machine I recently sent out to a repair shop that has repaired hundreds of these machines for $65.00 flat. The turn around was 1 week. They did a great job repairing my computer and getting it back to me. I'm not tied in with this company in anyway. I just think everyone should know about this option. Hammerhead has been mentioned here several times. I've purchased items from them before but have not sent anything out for repair. Did you send them your entire laptop or just the motherboard?

Sorry for the delay. I sent out the entire laptop. They can handle either method. (complete laptop or mobo only)
