Did I Get A Good Deal? X41

#1 Post by kunfuchopsticks » Mon Jun 30, 2008 10:36 pm

I bought a X41 of ebay for $515 total. It has 60GB HDD, Fingerprinter, and X4 Dock with a DVD burner.

Is this ok deal?

Well, before this, through bidding I scored a x41 60GB, 1.5GB, Superb condition for only $365 total, but the strangest thing happened. The seller told me his warehouse got robbed and he immediately refunded my money. He was selling 2 more X41s same day, I emailed the other buyers, they said he said the same thing.
The weird thing is: I emailed him a day before closing to ask whether it had a finger printer and he said it didn't, from this I assume he had the notebooks then. So maybe he changed his mind about selling the notebooks at such price and just made up the robbery story. I'm pretty disappointed in this. Because I won it for so cheap, and now I have to spend extra for this one with the dock.

For the sake of conversation...
I guess it all depends on the condition of the unit and how you feel about it. Second guessing a purchase is not an unusual feeling... buyer's remorse... more exactly states it. However, if you're happy with the purchase, the machine is awesome, you love it, and you have no regrets, then I would say "yes" you got a ok deal!

Many X41's on ebay seem to be running in the mid/high $400's, so paying what you paid isn't so bad considering what they cost when they were new.

Have fun!

If it is in good condition, i think it is reasonable. I got mine for $345, but the condition is not great and it has CD burner instead of DVD burner and has no finger print reading.

I bought an X41 tablet recently and was wondering if I got a good deal.

1.5ghz, 1.5gb RAM, 60gb HD, wireless, bluetooth, fingerprint, 8 cell battery that only holds aobut 2.5hrs charge, a/c adapter, small case. BUT, the screen latch was broken and it did not include the pen either (those were $20 and $35 respectively to replace, havent figure out how to replace the latch yet haha). All this for $350 shipped (w/o the replacement parts)

good deal?

to the OP: I think you got a decent deal if its in great shape. Mine is very used, although it functions perfectly...

I saw someone on ebay selling the X4 ultrabay burner, like the one I have, for $130. That's really high, I doubt anyone will buy it.

What is a reasonable price to sell it here?
