I couldn't find if anyone has mentioned it here or not but Western Digital came out with a 300GB 3.5" 10k RPM hard drive that's actually a 2.5" hard drive enclosed in a 3.5" heat sink. Although it would be a pretty good upgrade for SATA compatible laptops but I think the presence of that huge heat sink tells me it might be too hot to be used in a laptop without the heat sink. I couldn't find any information on the thickness of the 2.5" drive.
