All SOLD: X24's and X20, all in very good condition

#1 Post by underclocker » Tue Jul 01, 2008 12:52 pm

UPDATE: All SOLD to forum members.

This X20 is in very good condition. It has slight keyboard shine. The LCD is bright and the rest of the plastics look very good to excellent. The LCD cover has slight scuffs. The battery holds over 50% of the original charge and runs for about 1.5 to 2 hours. A surprisingly fast and good looking machine. (Runs XP quite nicely.)

For the X20, it is reduced to $129 shipped in U.S. It's in such good condition with an incredibly bright and perfect LCD, I think it's worth at least this much!

Basically, they are all in the same condition, very good to excellent.

I'm going to say $140 for X20 and $175 for X24...my opinion only.

I'll go with $100-120 for X20 and $180-200 or so for X24. I've sold some T2x systems recently for $160-180 so an X24 might be worth a bit more while X20 a bit less due to specs.

Thank you for the input guys - I was thinking sub-$200 for sure, but didn't know exactly what was fair.

For the X20, it is reduced to $129 shipped in U.S. It's in such good condition with an incredibly bright and perfect LCD, I think it's worth at least this much!

For the X24's (I have two in similar condition), I will go with $175 shipped in the U.S. I will also include a mini-PCI Broadcom B/G wifi adapter with each. If you want to try an internal wifi upgrade, you have to remove the mini-PCI modem and buy some antennas to route internally in the X24. Some members have done this already.

PayPal, USPS money order and cash accepted.

I will consider shipping outside the U.S., too, but the buyer will have to offer a secure way to transfer the funds and pay for extra shipping.

* Just to be clear, X2x machines do not have internal optical drives (no optical drives are included, but any USB optical drive will work).

No. USB 2.0 was available starting with the X31. You could always use a PCMCIA card though...

I believe there were no USB 2 ports until the X31 :(

The X24 has two USB 1.1 ports. However, you can use a PCMCIA (CardBus) adapter that provides two or four USB 2.0 ports.

Here's one on eBay now for less than $10 delivered --> http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-PCMCIA-CARDBUS- ... 0267584335

I use one like this on my A31.

Price on X20 has been reduced from $145 to $129. Both are very nice machines.

Ron, thanks, it's hard to use the word "need" after the first or second ThinkPad!

The pictures help, but I still can't believe the X20 is in such good shape and performs the way it does with XP, it'll be 8 years old in September! (That revelation probably won't help the sale...either way, it's surprising.)
