R31 for T42 screen compatible?

Hi all,

I Have a broken screen T42 IBM thinkpad, laptop still works when plugged into an external monitor. I was wondering will the screen from my R31 work with the T42? If so do I just detach it and stick it on. I also have an old A21M if that screen would work?

The answer to both questions is "no". these are not interchangeable.
