Price query on a T43P UXGA ..

#1 Post by wearetheborg » Fri Jul 04, 2008 3:55 am

I may consider selling the following T43P, what would be a decent price ?

T43P
UXGA
2.26Ghz dothan
2GB RAM
DVDRW
6 cell battery ~82% of original capacity
Ezserve Warranty till Oct 09

The Bad:
1 dead and one stuck pixel. Dead pixel is 2cm away from top left corner diagonally.
No wireless (was never present).
4200 RPM 80gb drive (non-IBM)

The Good:
Excellent shape. Near new. No shine anywhere. Even the lid corners look new.

(And no, this is not the laptop with the non-IPS UXGA...)
HP NC8000 UXGA; Dell Precision M90 WUXGA; R50P UXGA
Please PM me if you've had experience with SquareTrade warranties

Pianowizard said he purchased a T43p that he upgraded to QUXGA recently for $620 which seemed like a good price. Yours and PW's have the P M 780 which is the top processor for the T43p.

Brad, thanks for remembering that. I got really lucky though, because eBay gave me a coupon and without that it would have cost me $685 shipped. wearetheborg's unit has a smaller and slower HDD, and no wireless, but more warranty. I think some people would be willing to pay $680 shipped for it. The dead and stuck pixels would not bother me the slightest bit.

And the upgrade was for a QXGA screen, not QUXGA which would be 3200x2400! I would go blind using such a screen, because it would have 266.7 dots per inch!

You are welcome. I noticed the some of the differences but the P M 780 was a big deal. Most everything else could be upgraded easily.

Oops...sorry for the resolution goof.

That would be some laptop LCD!
