X40 rubber feet - Where do I find them?

#1 Post by bibendum » Sun Jul 06, 2008 7:18 pm

My X40 is missing a couple of its rubber feet.

I have gotten this far on IBM's website, but am at a dead end now:

I''m still not sure what to look for or ask for. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Many of your local stores sell rub feet and you can cut them and fit them into your X41.

What kind of stores? Radio Shack or something like that?

Is is hard to cut the foot to the exact height, so that the laptop doesn't wobble when you're typing on it?

I tried cutting rubber feet out of standard round rubber ones with little success. Since I do not use my x40 much I quit trying. I seem to remember someone on ebay with Thinkpad parts like these but I can't find them.
