Our company has about 50 T60's and many of them are experiencing momentary hangs. During the hang the curser is functional and you can click around on whatever but no new windows will come up. It's like the system is busy except cpu, memory, and disk use are all relatively idle. The systems hang for around 5 or 10 seconds then all of a sudden everything you were trying to do during that time happens all at once. For example, impatient users will get a bunch of internet explorer windows open all at once. During the hang ctrl + alt + delete works and I can get to the task manager but mostly everything else has to wait for the hang to pass.
Our T60s are pretty stock. XP SP2, 1 gb, nvidia 140m. They run the Lenovo windows install but, I've tried to remove most of the bloatware. I left usefull apps like APS, diskkeeper, and some of the smaller ones like OSD.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Steve
