Lenovo Bill Me Later problems--HELP!

#1 Post by dorronto » Tue Jul 08, 2008 8:05 am

Anyone have a problem, ordering a new laptop from the Lenovo site and trying to use their Bill Me Later option at checkout?? I just recently ordered one, last Thu, a new T61 laptop for my daughter for college.

I tried for 3-4 hours to use the Bill Me Later option, but they kept saying "we couldn't optain a bureau credit report for you" That was it! They refused me without seeing my report. Within a half hour I obtained my free report from Equafax and there was nothing negative that I could determine in the 30 page report.

I spoke to numerous people at Bill Me Later, inc., including Melissa a Supr. and to no avail.

The few people I spoke to Lenovo, including Michael in sales, were helpful as much as they could.

I just wanted 6 months free interest like I always get at Lowes!! Never a problem. I have never been denied credit anywhere........

Very, very frustrating to say the least. I had to pay for the T61 with my regular credit card which I didn't want to.

I'm thinking about canceling my order with Lenovo. They dangle the carrot for "free" interest for 6 months and then another company ruins it for them.

Anyone who knows my signature, dorronto, knows that I use and sell IBM laptops and I wanted to continue that tradition with Lenovo.

Maybe not...............

Any ideas ????

Thanks,

Ron
