T60P Temps

#1 Post by gmgfarrand » Tue Jul 08, 2008 2:22 pm

Ok,

I took the Heatsink/Fan out and removed the thermal pads.

I AC Epoxied the heatpipe from the GPU onto the copper for the CPU, as shown in another post here.

I took 2 copper pennies and filed & lapped them, then AC epoxied to where the GPU and Northbridge (?) are.

Applied AC paste and installed, ambient temps for CPU is about 45-49C, and the GPU usually is about 70C.

I run OCCTPT or Real-Time HDR test for about 10 min.

With OCCTPT, my cpu temp gets to 86C with 99.53% CPU Utilization.

With HDR, My CPU gets to 76C and GPU is at 85C.

Are these "good" temps?

They're "normal" temps. The "normal" GPU idle temp has always bothered me though (on the T4x the temp was in the 40s).

Your load temps are fine. You can get lower-than-usual CPU load temp by using undervolting software like NHC or RMClock.

Cool...
It seems that my temps are a bit lower in Vista than in XP as well..

I idle at about 41c in Vista and 53c in XP

Well, there's 1 thing Vista is good for... :)
