rgds,

It is possible. However, you need to consider the following:

The X60s (together with all newer Thinkpads) has a BIOS whitelist regarding which mini pci-e WLAN and WWAN cards it accepts. If a WLAN or WWAN card that is not on the list is used, the card is disabled and unusable (could be that the BIOS POST halts as well but I am not sure since I have not experienced it myself).

Previously, the X60s BIOS whitelist did not contain the 4695AGN so a "standard" X60s would not be able to use a 4695AGN. However, a forum member here discovered how to disable the BIOS checking and distributed modified BIOSes to those forum members that asked him for it.

So if the advertised X60s is really using a 4695AGN, then that particular Thinkpad must either have been flashed with a modified BIOS (obtained from here) or it contains a newer original Lenovo BIOS that allows 4695AGN (this is pure speculation on my behalf, I do not know for a fact that newer official BIOSes support the 4695AGN).

Hope this helps.

And the price will likely go significantly up by the end of the auction...
