2nd hdd adapter & booting

#1 Post by seungsohn » Sat Jul 12, 2008 5:33 pm

Hello, I was wondering if I could boot from the 2nd harddrive adapter. On my old Sony Vaio laptop, I can go into bios and I can choose the order to boot up. Will the 2nd hdd adapter show up on there? I'd like to put the harddrive from my old laptop in the adapter. It has Windows XP installed on it. This way, I can still use XP and the content on my old harddrive on the more powerful T61. I don't have any problems with Vista, I just think it'd be neat to be able to run 2 laptops in 1.

Thanks everybody!

That's cool, I'm going to give that a try one of these days too.

I have a spare 2.5" SATA HDD lying around. How much would such an adapter cost?

New?
Used?
From a TP member?
