x40 Replacement battery

#1 Post by filmnmusic192 » Tue Jul 15, 2008 12:42 pm

I am looking for a replacement battery for my x40.

Are there any good aftermarket replacements on ebay, any to stay away from?

I'm looking for an extended capacity version. I know battery refill is an option, I'm just looking for something that I can buy online and put it.

Any advise is apprecaited!

I'd be interested in knowing too.

I've been considering getting it from overstock.com instead of ebay since overstock should be easier to return to, if doesn't perform as expected.

+1, esp. for a small (non-extended) 4 cell in good condition.

Overstock is an excellent option. If the Overstock ad doesn't state that the battery is made by IBM or Lenovo, just use the Overstock.com support chat feature to ask a rep. They can check it out for you.

I've picked up batteries from them and I've had good luck.

I just ordered from overstock. Come out to be about $51. This is different from gator's price since I order a different model. I wasn't sure about all the p/n differences, so I just ordered a battery that was listed in the X40 manual.

I hope everybody that buys a battery (from anywhere) posts a review back here. It'd be good to know.

Same with me - sealed in plastic and zero cycles on it. Works a charm.
