T30 BIOS and Embedded Controller upgrade without battery

Just upgraded my T30 BIOS and Embedded Controller without a battery.
I used the normal floppy disks provided by IBM/Lenovo Support and an extra DOS 6.21 boot floppy disk. I removed the AUTOEXEC.BAT file from the DOS 6.21 boot disk and then booted my T30.
After the A: prompt appeared I inserted the IBM BIOS disk (current version 2.10) and renamed the long file ($0186000.FL1) "BIOS.ROM" without the quotes.
After that I typed "PHLASH16 /X" (notice the space between the 6 and the /).
Same procedure for the Embedded Controller except this time it was the other IBM disk, the Embedded Controller one.
This time I typed "UPDTEC $0186000.FL2" (again, notice the space between the C and the $). Answered yes with a "Y" and then pressed ENTER.
Do this at your own risk!!!
You have to be absolutely sure that you will have uninterrupted AC power otherwise you will trash your motherboard!!!!!
