"Fractured" script on the display

"Fractured" script on the display

"New" acquisition 600x to replace my "beater" 600. Win 98SE

I intend using the same HD, moving it from the 600 to the 600x. However, I note that the script on the 600x appears 'fractured'

I assume there is a quick cure for that. What is it?
