Problems downgrading to Windows Server 2003 on my X61s

#1 Post by mcmanaman » Sat Jul 19, 2008 6:14 am

I boot up from a bootable Windows Server 2003 CD-ROM, everything goes well, the blue screen appears then drivers are loaded, after this I choose to make a fresh install after this an error appears telling me that windows did not find any harddisk??? Is it a driver problem?? What should I do.

Note: I previously installed Vista Ultimate on the computer, there was no problems during the setup, the harddisk was fully recognized??

If I would hazard a guess, I would say the installation disk is unable to detect your SATA disk because it does not have native SATA drivers. Change the SATA setting to "compatibility" in the BIOS and try again.
