I have an R60 running Vista Business 32 (clean install) and installed Software Update.
Software Update goes through the motions, looking for the server, then looking at packages, but then returns a message that there are no downloads for my machine type. This is clearly wrong, as it worked fine on the same OS before I wiped it clean and started over. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Software Update, but it doesn't help.
Is there a registry key setting or some other way to fully uninstall Software Update or anything else to fix this problem?

Help with "Software Update" and Vista
"An atheist is just somebody who feels about Yahweh the way any decent Christian feels about Thor or Baal or the golden calf. As has been said before, we are all atheists about most of the gods that humanity has ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further."

Not sure if this is the same problem but...
I have a T41 , i installed Vista Home Pre on it(100% activated).
The only thinkpad software i have on it is the system update.
I ran it a few hr's ago and it also came up with no updates.I had to download whatever vista drivers i seen for the T41 and install it my self. Not a big deal.I just thought it was where i put Vista on a T41.
Also when i go to Lenovo download page , there is no "Auto Detect" this system. It was there in Xp.
The Auto Detect is also no showing up with my buddys T60P running Vista Bus.
The system update 3.1(i think it was) says it works fine with vista.
I guess i'll try again.
