Vista SP1 + OSD = Extremely Annoying

#1 Post by morovan » Mon Jul 21, 2008 10:29 am

I searched the forum for a possible fix to this issue, but found nothing so here goes:

I recently installed SP1 on my T61 (6459-CTO) with Vista Ultimate, everything went smoothly - except everytime I get an instant message, or other audio alert the OSD pops up with the volume control display...

To say the least this is very annoying. So far, I have reinstalled the hotkey drivers (with OSD) - next I will reinstall the audio drivers. Anyone else have this trouble?

I installed SP1 for Windows Vista Business 64-bit (different SP than 32-bit) on my T61p and I don't have that problem. ... JDH

Good to know, I wish I could have received a 64bit Vista Ultimate version but they didn't offer that OEM...
