R30 Update options?

Hello,

I have an R30 (type 2656) running Windows 2000. Since my job won't spring for more R51's anytime soon, I am researching about upgrading the hard drive and RAM (currently 256mb) for this unit.

The RAM is no problem, but can this unit handle a 7200RPM drive, or is that going to melt the machine? Is a 5400rpm unit more reasonable? (it currently has a 4200rpm unit in it). I work with localized SQL databases for testing, so speed helps.

Couple of other questions regarding this project: Is there a kit or cable that will allow me to ghost one drive to the other (being laptop drives), and does anyone know where I can get a new screen latch for an R30?
