Travel bezel included with X300?

If you ordered your X300 with either the DVD drive or the battery, did a travel bezel come in the box, too?

I don't own one, but I would guess with a good probabilty that it is not included ... atleast for the T, X models the only way to "officially" get the travel bezel is to buy the dock with an optical drive.

You're right, it probably isn't included, but someone else was asking. There doesn't seem to be a way to order it separately, and I can't find a part number for it either.

I did a quick search and found this:

the part number is: 42T5137 and is called 'travel cover' (look under #10, optical drive section) ... theoritically should be availble from IBM parts, but ordering one is a different story altogether.

I went through the same phase trying to locate a 13N1508 travel cover for the T60. I could not find it anywhere online, or from IBM/Lenovo parts. Finally sourced one from someone on the forum (for just shipping cost) who got one in a docking station and din't need it ... it is lying mostly unused since I have a ultrabay HDD now. I did use it when I went back home last year ...

i replied to your PM before seeing this thread. i got mine from IBM maintenance parts back in march for about $13. i never use it though.

Ditto the above comments. My X300 came with DVD Burner in the option bay. There was no bay cover in the box.

I bought the 3-cell bay battery and bay cover from the parts department described above. The bay cover is basically useless though as the DVD burner is just an ounce or two heavier.

the part number on my bezel is 42X5137, not 42T5137. i'm looking at the original FRU box and warehouse pull ticket right now. they may have changed the number in the last few months but it's hard to say.
