Sorry if this was already covered in another thread... I did a search and looked around for a while / on google but didn't seem to find anything.
I'm using a T60p and I never had this problem before today. Whenever I plug or unplug the AC power the screen flashes blank and then comes back on...
Before it used to just dim itself when on AC power without the flash refresh. The only change that I've made is in the BIOS, where I set display brightness to "High" for maximum brightness while unplugged. I tried switching this back to "Normal" but I have the same problem still, it will flicker the screen then dim itself down...
Anyone encounter this problem or know how to fix it?
Screen Flashes when plugging/unplugging AC adapter
I've never heard of this problem.
Try this: go into the BIOS and try removing and plugging in wall power. Does the screen flash there? If not, then it may be relayed to the software switching power plans, and not the hardware.
What OS are you running? Vista, perhaps?

Apathy is on the rise, but nobody seems to care.
I'm currently running XP SP2 32bit. I never had this problem before prior to install some updates via System Update.
I've already tried remove all the software that it had installed most recently including Power Manager and I still get the same problem.
The problem also seems to cut out sound for a flash along with the screen. I am 100% sure it is software related as it doesn't happen in BIOS or during Windows Shutdown/Restart. But if not Power Manager I'm not sure what other program would affect it...
