Hi everyone,
I have a 14.1" T61 which makes an echoing, springy metallic noise when the LCD is immediately latched into place. I've had this laptop for about 3 weeks and I'm wondering what the source of it is.
The noise occurs when the computer is on and off, and appears to be originating from inside the LCD, near its left hinge. It sounds as if there something loose inside the rollcage which is vibrating back and forth against another metal object, creating a long, diminishing sound.
Anybody have any ideas or similar problems? Thanks in advance.
