Unable to update Rescue & Recovery on Windows XP

I am trying to install Rescue & Recovery 4.0 in place of the version 3 that is currently on my machine. When I run the installer, it churns for a while and then eventually says

Error 25013.Error optaining the Rescue and Recovery environment drive letter.

Suggestions?

I was able to work around the problem by removing the second disk and DVD drive from my machine and trying again.

I had standard T60, and facing the same problem to.. :(

Is there any other way than deattaching the hardware.
