Custom BIOS Splash Screen

Has anyone had any luck loading a custom splash screen on the x31?

The Thinkwiki gives the procedure. I've not tried it myself as I normally have others things to do with my time :D It also does not list the X31 - but given the chipsets are the same for the T4* machines it MAY work.
W520, X301, T500, (past X61( SXGA+),T42P,SL500, A31, R52, T42,X32(SXGA+), T40P,A31P, A21P, 770Z)

while i agree that the ibm logo isn't the prettiest thing to look at on start up, i'm not sure that it's worth the effort considering that it's only up for like 10 seconds. besides, i hardly ever see it anyway since i'm usually digging through my bag looking for my train ticket while it boots up.
