Thinkpad -- IBM Logo

I just got an X61, and the logo on the lid, palm-rest is of the new Thinkpad X series, style logo. I miss the old IBM Thinkpad logo, in red/blue/green. Are the logos the same size, so that I can swap them out?

Ah, missed it on ebay. Man does ebay have it all. Says on the sellers page that the badge is compatible. Hmm

I think you can do just that. I don't know if you've looked at that Korean site that has the "piano finished" X Series lids, but I seem to remember those guys replacing the LG/IBM logos with just the IBM ones. I'm not certain of what they did since I don't read Korean, but it looked good. There are a number of sellers on eBay that sell the IBM case logos, but I imagine that the trick will be to find the one of just the correct size.

The Thinkpad X logo and the IBM Thinkpad logo are exactly the same shape and size and are completely interchangeable.

The newer Thinkpads (X300, X200, etc) has different sticker shape.
We can't swap them out and put the old IBM logo on it.

I think Lenovo already know that their customers always want to put the old IBM sticker on their products.
