T43p slightly screen flickering

#1 Post by kajencik » Thu Jul 31, 2008 1:48 am

Hello,

I'm almost sure about this but I want to ask to be sure: I have this T43p with new UXGA LCD and also new inverter, and it's working fine, but when I'm in work, the screen flickers a bit when connected to the AC, could this be caused by some fluctulations in the electricity distribution?

Are you using different AC Adapters in different locations? Maybe the AC Adapter at work is on it's way out?

No, I'm carrying the same adapter with me, but it is smaller compared to other adapters for my other thinkpads, so maybe I'll try different one at work... but I really think this is a power problem, because is was gone in the afternoon when less people were present and so much less load on the power network...

Resolved! I just tried another adapter and realized that I had the 56W (3,5A, 16V) adapter for the T43p, which is aparently not enough... I didn't check it before, as the adapter came with the T43p itself.
