X300 Refresh - Any speculation as to when

#1 Post by rgrossha » Thu Jul 31, 2008 2:17 pm

I've not seen any theories as to when to expect a refresh of the X300. I'm particularly interested in a 128 GB SSD option.

I'll be pulling the trigger on one, but I'm not under the gun.

Thanks,

Rob

until samsung announces 128GB SSDs, i wouldn't expect to see one preconfigured by lenovo. ;)

It is perhaps a less good version, but "good enough"?

Interesting research

The argument for SLC may be getting weaker:

(Summary - Samsung 256GB MLC SSD as fast and as long lived as SLC drives, and cheaper.)

The question sorta still remains, any speculation on refresh cycle for the X300, forgetting the SSD question?

Thanks,

Rob

all you'll get here is speculation from people making guesses.   your guess is as good as anyone else's right now. ;)

Getting a X300 with a SATA disk would be possible in the near future?
