"Poland and the Poles do not want to be in alliances in which assistance comes at some point later _ it is no good when assistance comes to dead people. Poland wants to be in alliances where assistance comes in the very first hours of _ knock on wood _ any possible conflict,"
now that was smart on the part of Poland. we are no longer going to get attacked and forgotten by our allies.

I hate to be pessimistic, but Poland's main problem over the centuries had been its geographic location...stuck between Germany and Russia...

Allies, as well as the enemies are likely to change, while geography stays the way it is... :(

in this case it is not being pessimistic but rather realistic. in my previous post i was indirectly referring to WWII during which allies failed to strike Germany which had deployed 90% of its millitary into Poland. obviously this time Poles made it specific that they want help right the way and not months later.

Right now Mr. Putin shows the most intelligence of all world leaders, there is so much stuff about him that no one knows about. He is cold and calculating.
