I am having a severe, never occurred before, problem.
When I move a saved internet website (Firefox 3 or IExplorer) to another folder, windows explorer does not move the associated files folder together with the html file.
I never had this problem before.
I have XP SP3 and all updates, FF3 and already tried all variation in folder options, but in vain. HTML file and folder files are always seen as unrelated separate files.
As I am using saved internet files a lot, I am more than frustrated with this strange MS behavior.
Does anyone have any new idea? Is there a registry reset somewhere, or a good tool?
Urgent Help!! Can't move Internet folders after Firefox 3

Just to get the discussion started:
Is this one of those bizarre "virtual" folders, in which the folder icon is the standard manilla picture with some sort of blue design emblazoned on it?
I've fought those things with web sites for quite some time, and eventually managed to convince Windows XP that these really are honest-to-Arthur folders with real data files in them. I recall that it was painful, and believe it's a bug in Windows or a huge misunderstanding on my part.

the tweakui app from microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/Down ... rtoys.mspx
has a setting that enables/disables "manipulate connected files as a unit" which is exactly what you describe. i'm sure it just tweaks a registry bit, but i don't know which one. i just use the tool.
hth.
