Lenovo T400/500 processors...

#1 Post by sfrohman90 » Wed Aug 06, 2008 2:05 am

So is there any reason why the T9400 is 425 dollars more than the p8400?? you can get a new T9400 processsor for 350 bucks on newegg, why would they make such a price jump in between the P8600 and T9400? It seems a little steep to me...

Because they have a limited supply and some people will pay that much.

In my case - I can wait for more stable pricing.

Have you been watching Lenovo offers before (with previous models) so you could play in a fortune teller and say how much time we have to wait for stable prices?

Typically 30-90 days for all but the highest speed processor. It seldom comes down much.

Prices have already dropped $275 for the 2.53GHz though. That is likely to be the best we see for a while.
