Intermittent wireless on T60
Mine has the factory Atheros AGN card. I have only had this about 10 days and it was a leftover NIB unit. Most of the drivers and software were out of date. I ran the updates a couple times and now I seem to be getting intermittent wireless connections. It turns on and off. I am not sure whether windows is managing my connection or the thinkvantage stuff is managing it. I have checked my network and it seems fine, other computers seem to be on there without a problem. What do I do to streamline this setup and make sure it is right. Running Vista home Premium.

Disabled the power save. It still keeps dropping connection to the internet. The wireless light seems to blink nearly all the time rather then be steady. I have a belkin N router and WPA encryption set. It seems to have started since I ran some of the windows updates. Any other settings i can try?

Harryc,
Thanx....I "read your mail"....I just unchecked the power save on mine, too. I have had intermittant drops of internet on my 2007-GEU T60. However, when I lose internet, the wireless connection managers still show it is connected to the network. Then, if I open AC, click "disconnect" and then "connect", I can again access the internet. I have the current driver updates for the 3945ABG installed. I have also selectively applied any other updates that may pertain. Any thoughts on why AC and Windows WNCS will show a solid connection to the network, but the internet connection is lost?
BTW: I do not have this problem with my other T60 W/S with Atheros ABGN, or my workstation with wifi card operating on my home wireless network.
I have seen other posts about shortcomings of the Intel WIFI cards.....I do know that the Atheros in my other T60 has "better ears"....
Thanks,
old sparky

Can I simply swap out my T5500 CPU in my 1953CTO T60 with a T5600? Or my T2400 core duo in my 2623D6U T60?
