What is wrong with my Rescue and Recovery?

#1 Post by jamess » Thu Aug 07, 2008 7:05 am

Yet again I am hoping that somebody could help. I started backup process at 10 am this morning. It's 2 pm now and yet, my backup is at 19% done and over 300 minutes to go.

I am doing something wrong? I am backup up to a network share, but even when backing up to usb 2.0 ext. drive, it's the same. Takes 10 hours .

I have X300 with 64 GB SSD so i really don't know what R&R is doing.

I don't know what to do. On previous ThinkPads backups were done in an hour or so and i like to use R&R for it's simplicity and reliability. But if i don't find a solution soon, i will uninstall it and use Vista integrated backup solution.

Thanks for your help...

That sounds like it is way to long unless that SSD is really slow....
I suggest that you try checking your SSD for errors.

SSD is fine, all programs start up snappy, vista is stable, photoshop, premiere pro cs 3 and all the rest is working great. it's just backup taking soooooooooo ridiculously long that there must be something wrong?!

What else should i check? Anyone else with SSD and X300 experiencing these same problems?

Thanks again.
