Access Connection 5

#1 Post by redburgundy » Mon Aug 11, 2008 9:49 pm

AC5 seems to work OK on my X61 with WinXP.
I don't see any changes from the previous version.

Another new feature, not listed, is that Access Connections automatically creates a new profile called "HSPA Mobile Broadband". You can delete or even rename this profile, but next time you launch Access connections, it recreates the profile with this default name. I guess it only does this if you have a WWAN card installed, but it's very annoying and there doesn't seem to be any way to turn off this automatic creation. I wouldn't mind so much, but the profile doesn't work - it won't connect.

Where did you download it?

EDIT: found it, http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... ZLNJB.html but it seems to be for WXP.
