I am guessing this has already been posted, but here she goes:
I've got a T42 that when plugged in shows a yellow battery light for charging, and I get a green power on button, like the system is operating. But nothing is coming up on the screen, and since I can't get the screen to display anything I can't really use SAFE mode or anything. Anyone have any previous experience with something like this?

Suggestions on the fly:
1) Try remove the battery from your ThinkPad. Attach the power-suppy only (connected to the mains outlet). Are you able to see the BIOS boot-screen on the T42 display? [press F1 during power-up to get to the boot-menu].
2) If not seing anything on the T42 LCD, and if you have an external monitor available, try hook up that monitor to the VGA output at your T42. Does anything display on the external monitor?
3) See the threads T42 Display Problem and T 42 Hard drive will not boot and T42p won't come out of standby or won't boot after shutdown - there may be help there?
Please report back here what you find, after trying that of the above your are able to.
