FS: X61s 7667-3FU-Almost New- Warranty to 3/2011-sale pend..

#1 Post by Rob » Tue Aug 12, 2008 1:32 am

I find myself with two different X61s models, so I really should get rid of one.

I purchased this laptop locally from an individual who decided to switch over to a Macbook after only a few uses. This laptop was new in March of 2008 and has the remainder of the 3-year warranty until March of 2011! It's new enough to have just the Thinkpad branding and not the IBM logos.

Here are the specs:

Model: 7667-3FU
Processor: L7500 (1.6GHz)
RAM: 2GB (upgraded from 1 GB)
HDD: 80GB 5400rpm
Graphics: Intel X3100
Screen: 12.1" XGA (1024x768)
Networking: Intel 802.11agn(n-disabled), Bluetooth, Modem, 1Gb Ethernet
OS: Windows XP
Drives: Lenovo USB DVD/CD-RW
Misc: Secure chip, 8c Li-Ion

The condition is like-new, perfect, with no scratches or dents. The screen is bright with no dead pixels. The keyboard still has the brand-new surface roughness. The cycle count on the battery is 6. I have performed a full factory restore on it and it's ready to go.

I'm really only selling because this one doesn't have a fingerprint reader and I picked up another X61s that had one (I've gotten used to the one on my T43). But the warranty on this one is much better and it has the bigger 8-cell battery. And for whatever reason, the palmrest doesn't seem to get as hot as my other one.

I don't have pictures yet, but I will get them uploaded in the next few days.

NOW ASKING $900 shipped!
I am asking $950 shipped to the continental US. I accept cash payments through Paypal with no additional fees. If using a credit card through Paypal, please add an additional 3% to cover the credit card fees.

If you don't want the USB DVD/CD-RW drive, I'll take $50 off the price. If you want a dock, a member here (Nick) is selling one, and I can meet him and ship the dock and the computer together.

I have great ebay feedback [ebay ID: GVR4-330] and I've sold a few laptops on this website recently (one to a member in the Czech Republic and another to a member in NJ).

Thanks for looking!

Rob,
Sounds like a nice unit. Just out of curiosity, why is the n-disabled ["Intel 802.11agn(n-disabled)"]?
thanks,

I'm not really sure. Those are the specs straight from Lenovo's website:

Original description: L7500(1.6GHz), 1GB RAM, 80GB 5400rpm HD, 12.1in 1024x768 LCD, Intel X3100, Intel 802.11agn(n-disabled), Bluetooth, Modem, 1Gb Ethernet, Secure chip, 8c Li-Ion, WinXP Pro

Status: In warranty
Expiration date: 2011-03-31
Location: UNITED STATES

This one has been upgraded to 2GB of RAM. It does NOT have the Ultralight screen or the fingerprint reader.

I am now asking $50 less, or $900 shipped.

This price includes the remainer of the 3 year warranty (until March 2011), plus the Lenovo USB DVD/CD-RW drive.

Once again, if you don't want the drive, I'll take $50 off the price.

Also, if you would prefer, I can swap out the 8-cell extended life battery for a 4-cell slim battery. This battery has 73% of it's original capacity left, but it still rated "green" and has 59 cycles on it. I'll take $75 off the price if you'd prefer the 4-cell slim battery. It doesn't have the same capacity, but the laptop weighs much less with it.

The computer still has the recovery partition intact with Windows XP. I can install a clean copy of Windows Vista Home Premium if desired. I can either leave the recovery partition intact or create copies of the recovery media and wipe the partition when installing Vista.

Reshot the pics:

Also, the DVD/CD drive is sold. So $850 for the laptop. Take $75 off if you want the 4-cell slim battery instead. Add $125 for the x6 dock with a DVD/CD-RW drive.
