X31 not (always) charging on ultrabase

Hi,

i own a x31 for some times and recently bought an used X3 ultrabase

I'm confused because the X31 didn't charge when docked.
So my ultrabase was replaced, the X31 still didn't charge!
i left it on the base and some hours after, i noticed it was charging...
And now, i had to reinstall windows (xp) and the x31 when docked does not charge.

I'm really confuse : how does this ultrabase works?

Anytime you dock your X31 and plug in the AC, the battery should charge. Nothing special you should have to do. If you changed the dock and you have the same problem then it might be the laptop connector.

another question : should the batery charge when docked on the back of the ultrabase, with no computer docked on the base?
