T-43 HD upgrade

#1 Post by Knight851 » Wed Aug 13, 2008 6:05 pm

Need to upgrade original 80 GB (HTS541080G9AT00) HD on a T-43 266895U machine. Bios version is 1.24. Does anyone know what drives (100-160 GB) will work with getting into the 2010 error or having to flash firmware. Please make your response very plain. I am not a computer expert.

Thanks for any suggestions

Welcome to the forum!

Several members have reported Fujitsu 120Gb/5400rpm working without triggering the "2010 error".

Hope this helps.

The 2010 error isn't so bad, the BIOS has an option to continue instead of pausing, so it just beeps and adds a few seconds to the boot. I'm running a WD 160GB on my T43. I guess it might confuse/scare a user...
